Remembering and Celebrating Alberto

On March 14, 2021, our sweet Alberto took his last breath. He had been in critical condition in the hospital for weeks with a severe intestinal blockage. Our hearts are broken as we walk alongside his family and share in their grief and pain. At the same time, we celebrate the amazing life Alberto had. His joy and laughter were contagious. We had the honor of watching him grow and learn for six years, having been one of Eternal Anchor’s very first students. We will miss him greatly and can rejoice in the fact that he is now in the loving arms of God, pain-free and happy.

We are so thankful to everyone who responded to our Facebook post by donating towards Fernando’s surgery. Fernando is one of the children in our early intervention class and is in desperate need of a feeding tube. Thanks to our international partners, we’re now able to cover the medical expenses and we’ve helped his family schedule the surgery for next month.

One of the newest projects for our adult life skills program is learning how to propagate succulents and make arrangements to sell at local markets. These projects bring in important funding to our education programs and give our adult students a stipend they can bring back to their families.

  • Please pray for more regular monthly donations to cover operating expenses. If you’re interested in sponsoring a child, you can email us or check out our website for more information.
  • We’ve been having issues with some of the vehicles we use for our social work program. If you or someone you know is willing to help us by donating a 4×4 vehicle so our staff can conduct their regular home visits, please let us know.
  • Please pray for funding for our school build. We are raising money for a building that will give us the capacity to double in size and offer quality specialized education to even more children (to donate to the school build, click HERE).
