In spite of all of the COVID chaos, we are so grateful that we could operate our annual Love Extended campaign. Our team of physical and occupational therapists and support staff were, as always, a huge help in our education programs and in the community. The children in our special education school were fitted with new equipment and our staff worked alongside the visiting specialists to create new therapy and education plans for our students.
The wheelchair shop, currently located at a partner organization’s base (Foundation For His Ministry), was buzzing with activity all week. All kinds of adaptive and mobility equipment was built primarily using local materials and was distributed in the community.
While we limited in-home consultations this year, a few of the families we worked with required in-person visits. Christian was fitted with a wheelchair that was donated from the United States and adapted just for him by our team. Now, instead of being restricted to a bed all day, Christian can spend more time being social with his family and neighbors.
The last day of the week is always a big highlight for Eternal Anchor families. Each year we facilitate a family fun day and share a big meal together. We had a blast this time at our Ranch, playing soccer and volleyball, riding the horses, and spending quality time together.
- Please pray for more regular, recurring donations to make up for the decline in monthly giving.
- Please pray for funding for our school build. We are raising money for a building that will give us the capacity to almost double in size and offer quality specialized education to even more children.
- Please pray for new houseparents for our residential program. We are looking for a couple to take over one of the homes and offer loving, full-time care to six children.
