We had an amazing Love Extended outreach week this year. More than 40 families received in-home consultations with our specialists. Wheelchairs, standers, and other adaptive equipment were distributed throughout our community.

This year, we focused on using local materials to build standers and positioning chairs. Our Love Extended team spent the week building customized equipment using buckets, scrap wood, vinyl, pool noodles, PVC pipes, and more.

An important component of Love Extended is training. This year, our staff and families received training on creating visual schedules, sign language, orientation and mobility for people who have visual impairments, and deescalation techniques. We also partnered with the local senior center to train staff on how to implement exercise programs for their residents.

  • Please pray that our vehicles remain reliable so that we can continue picking up students each day.
  • Please pray for funding for our school build. We are raising money for a building that will give us the capacity to almost double in size and offer quality specialized education to even more children.
  • Please pray for new houseparents for our residential program. We are looking for a couple to take over one of the homes and offer loving, full-time care to six children.
