Eternal Anchor Celebrates Milestones
At Eternal Anchor, our mission to empower and uplift children, teens, and adults with disabilities comes alive through the remarkable achievements of individuals and their families. Recently, our community came together to celebrate two significant milestones: The graduation of Kevin and Kenny from Eternal Anchor’s school and the beautiful quinceañera of Lizbeth, a cherished student from the Capitanes class. These celebrations were more than just events; they were a testament to the dedication, hard work, and love of our students, their families, and our staff. They also served as a powerful reminder of the invaluable support we receive from our global network of donors.
Kevin and Kenny’s Graduation: A Celebration of Growth and Achievement
Kevin and Kenny have been on a transformative journey at Eternal Anchor. Their graduation marks not just the end of their time at our school but the beginning of new opportunities as they join the Friendship Club Without Barriers. Over the years, Kevin and Kenny have learned so much—from mastering Mexican sign language to developing life skills like preparing meals and expressing their emotions in healthy ways. Their progress is a shining example of what can be achieved when a supportive community comes together.
The graduation ceremony was a heartfelt celebration filled with joy, pride, and hope. The presence of their families, who have been unwavering in their support, made the occasion even more special. The boys’ journey reflects the incredible impact of our dedicated staff, who have nurtured their growth every step of the way. Lizbeth’s Quinceañera: A Joyous Celebration of Life and Community
Just as we celebrated Kevin and Kenny’s achievements, our community also gathered to honor Lizbeth’s quinceañera—a traditional celebration of a girl’s 15th birthday, symbolizing her transition from childhood to young womanhood. Lizbeth, a beloved member of the Buzos class, has touched the hearts of everyone at Eternal Anchor with her vibrant spirit and determination. The quinceañera, held at our school, was a beautiful occasion filled with love, music, and dancing. It was more than just a celebration of Lizbeth’s milestone; it was a moment that highlighted the inclusivity and sense of belonging that we strive to foster at Eternal Anchor. The event was made even more meaningful by the participation of Lizbeth’s family, who have been her pillars of strength, and by the entire Eternal Anchor staff, who worked tirelessly to ensure the day was unforgettable. A Global Community United by Compassion
These dual celebrations are a powerful reminder of the extraordinary things that can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared purpose. The unwavering support of our donors has provided the resources, opportunities, and love that fuel our mission to create a world where every child with a disability can thrive. As we reflect on these joyful milestones, we are grateful for everyone who plays a part in the Eternal Anchor family. Whether you’re a parent, a staff member, a donor, or a community member, your commitment and compassion are the heart of our work. Together, we are building a future where all of God’s children are valued, experience belonging, and can reach their full potential. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.
Why Inclusion Matters: The Ripple Effect
Inclusion isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a powerful force transforming lives and uplifting entire communities. At Eternal Anchor, we witness the profound impact of inclusivity in the San Quintin Valley, where our work focuses on providing quality, comprehensive disability services.
Inclusion means every individual is valued, respected, and allowed to reach their full potential regardless of ability. When we embrace diversity and create spaces where everyone belongs, we unlock the hidden strengths within our communities. This ripple effect starts small—perhaps with a single child gaining access to education or therapy—and soon spreads, touching families, schools, workplaces, and beyond.
In the San Quintin Valley, we’ve seen how inclusion empowers individuals with disabilities to not just survive, but to thrive. From children learning Mexican sign language and vital life skills to young adults joining the workforce, each success story is a beacon of hope, fueling a cycle of positive change. These individuals become more than just role models, advocates, and active participants in society-they become living proof that barriers can be broken and misconceptions can be challenged.
However, the impact of inclusion extends even further. Communities that embrace inclusivity become more robust, compassionate, and resilient. They become places where everyone has a voice, diversity is celebrated, and the true potential of every person is realized. At Eternal Anchor, we are committed to fostering a culture of inclusion, knowing that the ripple effect of this work is a collective effort that will continue to create waves of positive change for generations to come. Together, with the San Quintin Valley community, we can build a world where everyone is valued and belongs.
Eternal Anchor’s campus welcomed a special clinic led by Dr. Justin Sherfey, an orthopedic surgeon from the U.S. His team performed essential tendon release procedures for children in our school and community—procedures that are typically unaffordable for most families. We are deeply grateful for their compassion and dedication, which have made a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve. This generous partnership exemplifies our shared commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Read more here and here.
