Join Us in Celebrating Eternal Anchor’s 10th Anniversary!

Mark your calendar for December 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. PT as we celebrate an extraordinary milestone: Eternal Anchor’s 10-year anniversary! For a decade, Eternal Anchor has been a steadfast presence in the San Quintin Valley, bringing light, hope, and transformation to children, teens, and adults with disabilities.

Our anniversary celebration is more than a reflection on the past—it’s a joyous Christmas event that will showcase the power of community, love, and compassion that defines our mission. We’ll gather to share stories, give thanks, and look forward to the next chapter of this beautiful journey together. The day’s program includes a moving candle-lighting ceremony symbolizing the light that Eternal Anchor continues to bring to the lives of those we serve. Plus, our students will perform a special Christmas nativity play, sharing the spirit of the season in a program filled with joy and meaning.

Can’t Join Us in Person? Join Us Online!

If you’re unable to join us in San Quintin, we’d love for you to participate virtually. We’ll be streaming the entire event live so you can take part from wherever you are. For our friends across the U.S. and Canada, we’re also offering a unique way to celebrate together: you can request a commemorative candle to light with us during the ceremony.

Reserve Your Candle Today

To request a candle simply email us at celebration@eternalanchor.org by November 12. This candle-lighting moment symbolizes the powerful impact of our shared commitment and reminds us that Eternal Anchor’s light shines bright because of you, our supporters and friends.

Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or have recently joined our community, this day is for you. Together, let’s reflect on how far we’ve come, celebrate what we’ve achieved, and recommit to the work that lies ahead. Thank you for being part of this journey. We can’t wait to celebrate 10 years of love, hope, and transformation with you—either in person or online.

Celebrating Five More Years of Transformative Partnership with UTMB

We are delighted to announce that Eternal Anchor’s partnership with the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas, has been extended for another five years! This continued collaboration is a testament to the mutual dedication between our organizations to make meaningful, sustainable change in the San Quintin Valley. Over the past two years, we have hosted nine inspiring physical therapy interns from UTMB, each of whom spent six weeks with us under the guidance of their professor and our passionate volunteer physical therapist, Erin Cottos. This experience allows these students to serve directly in our community, bringing crucial support and energy to our work.

“This collaboration with UTMB has been transformative, not just for our community, but for the interns as well,” shared Erin. “Their contributions make a tangible difference in the lives of people with disabilities in rural Mexico, and the hands-on experience they gain is invaluable.”

The benefits of this partnership go both ways. Our community gains from the fresh perspectives, skill, and dedication that each intern brings, while the interns themselves develop irreplaceable real-world skills. They practice adaptive equipment construction, perform in-home therapy sessions, and learn compassionate care techniques that go beyond textbooks and labs. Interns tell us how much they value their time with Eternal Anchor, gaining the professional tools and confidence they need to succeed while being part of a mission-driven team.

As we step into 2025, we’re excited to expand the internship program even further with the addition of our first occupational therapy intern from UTMB! Together, we’re creating a brighter, more inclusive future—one rotation at a time.
